The UK’s first off-grid LCV conversion facility

Renewable-powered. Fleet-focused. Built in the North East.

Construction is underway at our Stockton-on-Tees headquarters on the UK’s first fully off-grid, renewable-powered commercial vehicle conversion workshop, designed for modern fleets and electric LCVs.

We’ll be hosting our business partners and customers during our official launch week in May 2026. This is your chance to see sustainable vehicle conversion in action, explore EV solutions at scale, and discuss what this means for fleet operations and industry collaboration.

We want to hear from fleets, leasing groups, dealers, and other industry professionals interested in attending and engaging with our team. Complete the form below to register your interest and secure a place at the event.

What do our sustainability goals mean for your business?

When operational in May 2026, the new facility will:

  • Run primarily on on-site solar generation supported by battery storage

  • Reduce our operational carbon emissions by an estimated 62% in year one

  • Provide a dedicated workshop for electric panel van conversions

  • Strengthen green supply chain credentials for our customers

For businesses, sustainability increasingly forms part of procurement criteria, tender scoring and ESG reporting. Our investment supports your ability to demonstrate responsible sourcing without compromising engineering standards or turnaround times.

Strengthening UK Supply Chains

Based in Stockton-on-Tees and employing 90 skilled professionals, CPD continues to invest locally while supplying fleets nationwide.

The new facility will create new skilled green manufacturing roles and reinforce the resilience of regional production.

For customers, that means:

  • UK-based manufacturing
  • Shorter supply chains
  • Greater production control
  • Reduced environmental impact
